For Commerce

For details of eligibility please read circular no 140/2012 dated 31/05/2012 on www.nmu.ac.in

As per North Maharashtra University, a candidate for being eligible for admission to the First Year of the three year integrated course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:

  • English
  • Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any Classical Language or Information Technology.
  • Any three subjects from among the subjects mentioned below: Economics, Book-Keeping and Accountancy, Organization of Commerce, Geography, Mathematics and Statistics, Secretarial Practice, Co-operation.
  • Any one optional subject carrying 100 marks.

OR,

Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination with Vocational subject conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:

  • English
  • Any one Vocational subject carrying 200 marks prescribed for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIthStandard) Examination from time to time.

Any three subjects carrying 100 marks each from among the subjects under the faculty of Commerce.

OR,

Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education from Arts and Science streams with the following combination of subjects:

  • English
  • Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any Classical Language or Information Technology.
  • Any one subject from the following five subjects: Economics, Geography, Mathematics and Statistics, Psychology, Geology.
  • Any three subjects carrying 100 marks each from among the subjects under faculty of Arts or Science.

OR,

Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education from Arts and Science streams with the following combination of subjects:

  • English
  • Any one Vocational subject carrying 200 marks prescribed for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIthStandard) Examination from time to time.
  • Any one subject from the following five subjects: Economics, Geography, Mathematics and Statistics, Psychology, Geology.
  • Any two subjects carrying 100 marks each from among the subjects under faculty of Arts or Science.

OR,

Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination with the Minimum Competency based Vocational courses conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:

  • English
  • Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any Classical Language or Information Technology.
  • General Foundation Course.
  • Any one subject carrying 300 marks from among the Minimum Competency based Vocational courses prescribed by Higher Secondary Certificate (XIIthStandard time to time.

OR,

Must have passed an examination of another University or Body Recognized as equivalent thereto.

ADMISSIONS TO THE STUDENTS WHO ARE IN SERVICE

Almost all courses in the University are full time courses. Therefore students, who are in service, should not be admitted as a regular student directly. Therefore Admission Authority should ensure that no such students be admitted. Before giving such admissions the Principal of the College should furnish following documents to the University and obtain approval.

  • Permission letter from the concerned Employer
  • Certificate regarding duty time and working hours.
  • Time table of the Class / Course.
  • Leave sanction order if any from the concerned
